God’s Hope and Desire

Monday, January 29, 2018 posted by William Thompson

The morning of January 28, 2018, as I spent time before God, I was inquiring about what to do concerning a particular situation.  I thought of all the years that have passed since I began serving Him, and the many “extreme” situations He had walked me through.  The Lord then impressed upon my spirit that, yes, it has been extreme, but it was to teach me the true heart of a servant, to believe Him for the miraculous, the impossible.

God explained how He needs those willing to endure and not let go of Him, so He can manifest the impossible on the earth, and the Bride receive what the Lord has for Her.  He showed how all the things she has gone through in her life time, He has seen, and will use to bring about His will in her, to walk the call out upon her.

And then He spoke these words to me…..

“What I did was never done before!”

“Yes, I raised others from the dead before I did Jesus, giving to their dead body – the breath of life – such as I did with Adam.”

“But when I touched My Son with the “Power of My Love,” I literally imparted to Him, not only the breath of life, changed mortality to immortality, flesh and blood to flesh and bone – but I had placed in Him all My hopes and desires throughout all of creation!”

“I gave to Him the hope of “My Original Plan!”

“When He went to the depths of Sheol, He had that in Him!  This is why He took the very keys to death and the grave!  The keys were the “deed” given to the serpent, Satan, when Adam and Eve surrendered their authority to him through their disobedience!”

“When Jesus ascended to Me with those keys, because of His obedience to My will, it was then He became eternally, forever obedient, and  given all power and authority!”

THAT was the first fruits of fulfilling My hopes and desires of My Original Plan!

“And THAT is what I have set before those who will choose to surrender in obedience to My will and become the Body of Christ, the Bride!”

Scripture References:

Revelation 1:18, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.  And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

Matthew 28:18, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth…”

Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you…”

Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?…”

Jeremiah 31:22, “How long will you wander, unfaithful Daughter Israel?  The LORD will create a new thing on earth – the woman will return to the man.”

Colossians 2:15, “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

What an encouraging message! It made me think long and hard about the “extreme” things I’ve been through this last year. It’s so crucial we remember He will work ALL things for the GOOD to those that love Him…” May we continue to hold on to Him, and never let go of the hope and joy He’s set before us!

  2. William Thompson Says:

If we could only grasp this truth that He does indeed work all things for the good. This can only be grasped by coming before Him in obedience to His will and in trust of Who He truly is! This is why God woos us to Him….so that we may come to know Who He truly is and of His goodness which He has set before us!

  3. Ayoola Says:

William, this is really encouraging for me as well, because things have really been extreme, to the extent that I am asking why am I been subjected to this…… It is a test, to continue to know that He who began the work in you is able to bring it to completion, total reliance and trust, no matter what you go through.

  4. William Thompson Says:

God is truly wonderful in that He is using/allowing things to purify the dross in our own hearts! I have learned that with each “test” that I endure that this is an opportunity to praise Him and to see His hand in all things. Am I going to murmur or complain or….am I going to trust in Him and His goodness? We always are given a choice! Just as the children of Israel when they were roaming in the wilderness! God said in His Word that He did this “to see what was in their hearts.” (Dt. 8:2; Dt 13:3)

  5. Diana Pulliam Says:

It’s interesting that you mention, “Am I going to murmur or complain…” because that is a huge topic. When we murmur and complain, we effectively tie God’s hands to do the things we are actually needing and praying to Him about. We need to come before His courts with thanksgiving and praise… I say all this because I fell into murmuring about how hard things are for poor me recently, and the Lord had to wake me up concerning this. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you William and Diana for your faithfulness. The Lord is supernaturally changing us daily as we have asked for His will for us and for Him to finish us. Pray I can be all He wants me to be. Trust the Lord and recognize what may come and test you at all times. 1 Peter 4:12
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.…One day at a time, Gods mercies are new every morning. Praise the Lord for them, amen and amen. God Bless you all!

  7. William Thompson Says:

You absolutely have our prayers! God is truly doing a great work and we shall see Him increase this at such a rapid pace. The time is short! Blessings!

  8. Diana Pulliam Says:

Yes, Amen! The Lord is transforming us daily and is faithful to finish the work He has begun in us. And He is such a gentleman, that we actually have to give Him permission to finish this process – which is indeed painful. Ah, but His mercies are indeed new every morning.
    God bless you, Sue!

What an awesome revelation thank you

Glory be to God the Father in His goodness towards us!

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
    Luke 6:46‭-‬49 NKJV

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
    I Peter 3:18‭-‬22 NKJV

In my own testimony, Jesus taught me forgiveness by taking the pain and agony of 20 years of conflict with my step dad in one beautiful and miraculous moment of forgiveness that has forever changed my life and my family members lives. 20 years of pain and suffering gone in an instant! Hallelujah!!! While this is the greatest miracle of my life, I look back and thank the LORD for those 20 years of suffering because knowing this was all His plan and because it was so tough, it makes me love Him even more and glorify Him even more. If the LORD never did anything for me or with again, I will always praise and glorify Him and pour myself out for Him no matter what because of the miracle He did for me. Glory to God!!! I love Him so much!!! And what a fire that has kindled! God bless brother and thank you!

  12. William Thompson Says:

I am so blessed that you shared a part of your own testimony! God is wonderful in that, although He does allow things to happen in people’s lives, He shows Himself mighty in bringing us through those trials! And He works things out for our good as we continue to seek Him in every thing. I, too, can look back with all that I have gone through and see His hand was in it. Even when I did not even believe in Him, He still had mercy upon me and prepared me to come to know Him! How awesome is that?!!

  13. Diana Pulliam Says:

Praise God for His loving mercy and grace. Your testimony touched me deeply, as I too had much pain and agony from my past. What I’d done is “sweep it under the rug” and thought it was all done and I never had to think about it again. But God knew I needed to pull back the rug, take a look at the big mess, then give it all to Him and receive His much needed love and healing. Oh, what a wonderful God we serve!
    God bless you, Brother!

This is confirmation for me of something I was praying about a few nights ago! I was led to read Hebrews again, & when I got to Chapter 2, this part jumped off the page:

9 But we do see Yeshua — who indeed was made for a little while lower than the angels — now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he might taste death for all humanity.

The thought came to me that it’s not speaking of His physical death, as that is common to all humans. But He suffered a SPIRITUAL death BEFORE He died physically on the cross!! When He cried out “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”, I believe at that moment He experienced a true separation from the Father, i.e., the Spirit left Him & He was only human – no longer incarnate – because He had fully become all sin in that moment. By Father’s Grace, I don’t believe He had to endure this for very long, because once He died physically He was fully in the Spirit. But I think He knew this was the Plan, & that’s why He wept in the garden – He knew He would be left completely alone for a time without the Spirit in Him. But He endured that so that WE would never have to experience that awful moment! That’s why He says “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Praise Jesus! No matter how bad life gets for us as believers, we can be absolutely sure He is right there with us! Hallelujah!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful revelation so that I could share mine!

  15. William Thompson Says:

How truly amazing! I stand in such awe of the goodness of our God and our Lord Jesus! Yes, He truly endured all those things….FOR US!! Hebrews 12:2 says “….for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross…” I do believe from what God has shown to me here is THIS was that joy! Not only redeeming humanity but that it goes so much farther beyond that!

  16. Victoria Vatland Says:

On very trialed days, He gives me enough strength to simply hold on to His robes and Praise His Holy Name. Have let go of this world but never shall I surrender Him.

  17. William Thompson Says:

    Amen Victoria!!
Do not ever give up nor give in to the things of this world! The Word says that greater is he that is in us!! (1 John 4:4) Continue to keep your eyes fixed upon Him, our Promised Bridegroom!

  18. Sharon Webster Says:

The Lord gave me a word this morning . MIDNIGHT. IT IS MIDNIGHT. This has brought great fear to me because I don’t want to speak any false words so I have been very careful to seek him in this word. It is a sad time for the world but OUR LIGHTS WILL SHINE BRIGHTER THAN EVER BEFORE !!!

  19. William Thompson Says:

Thank you for sharing this word. I will most definitely lift this before the Lord! We must have that spirit of expectation and seek God in all things! As we submit our wills to Him, He will cause our lights to shine brightly!

  20. Sharon Webster Says:

The Lord revealed to me what MIDNIGHT means, We are living in the time now that people walking in outer darkness have been permanently sealed. There is no hope in Christ for them. They will be our world leaders. They will be the most corrupt that have ever been. We are to pray that we be strengthened against corruption ourselves. We cannot give in to the temptations of this world . Perilous times like we have never seen are surely upon us but Our Savior has already won the battle.
