“My Precious Beloved”

The Lord’s been speaking to me lately about His intense Love for the Bride of Christ.  The evening of August 12,th I’d had a discussion with a sister in the Lord about the Bride, and how she’s being prepared for the return of her Bridegroom.

The next morning, the Lord began a great stirring in my spirit, and gave me a glimpse of what He’s been doing.  He showed me that during this “waiting period,” He’s laying the groundwork to prepare the Bride for His Love.

The Bride, the very Body of Christ, has not truly received God’s Love, but only the world’s imitation of it.  Because of this, the Bride’s tended to seek after the carnal love of this world.  For an example, look at the Song of Songs:

The Shulamite bride-to-be is seen resting inside her man-made structure. The Beloved is not with her. He is “out there” somewhere.  The imagery of the Song of Songs and that of the Church of Laodicea is quite similar. In both cases, the Beloved is outside the door. It is hard to be intimate with someone when they are separated by a door (distance). In Song of Songs, the absent Shepherd lover is wooing His Bride-to-be. He’s calling out to His Beloved to “come away”. But she is reluctant to do so, to leave behind that which she already knows…

And yet, God’s been preparing the very heart of the Bride to be loved with dignity, whereby she’ll realize just how very precious, honored, and esteemed she is to her beloved Bridegroom.

The Bride truly is that Pearl of great value to Him.  She’ll not be loved by the lusts of the flesh, nor will she be manipulated by the selfish desires she’s been taught by the world.  For too long, she’s pursued after love, but it’s been the love she has only known from the world.  That “love” degraded her similar to the level of a harlot, diminishing her true value, tarnishing the good in her.

But God says it’s time to rise up!  It’s time she be cleansed and purified to receive the Love she seeks.  This Love will not cheapen her value, but will honor her with dignity, for she is highly esteemed!

The Lord is saying to each one of us,

“Rise up, for your Bridegroom cometh.”

“He is beckoning and wooing you with a heart full of the Love given to Him by the Father!”

“This Love is patient, suffers long, is kind, does not envy, it does not behave rudely, nor seek its own.”

Oh, how He longs for His precious beloved.  Let us praise and thank the Father for our Lord, our Savior, our Beloved Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.  For He indeed is coming soon!

Scripture References:

Matthew 13:45-46, “The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

1 Cor. 13:4-7, “Love suffers long, and is kind; Love envies not, is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil…bears all things…”

Ephesians 5:25-27, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle…but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Revelation 19:7-9, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for fine linen is the righteousness of saints…”

Thank you for this beautiful word. I’ve longed to be loved like that. Never had a love like that, and am single. I often wondered what it would feel like. I dont want a relationship. I use to more in my youth but couldn’t and chose the Lord. I always felt like the Lord was wooing me. Yes long suffering. I of course agree with all he’s saying and am working on that perfection. Its a must or bust. God Bless you!

Thank you for sharing. I would like to encourage you with this…Rise up and lift up your face and look upon the One Who truly loves you! He is not seeking any sort of perfection from you, only your love for Him. As you yield to Him in all things, He will draw you to Himself and pour out His great love that He has for you. God will begin to purify the things of this world from your life so that you will become more like His Son and ready to receive more of His love. It is a process but one that you will never have to endure alone as He will always be with you!

Thank you William, Love him so and look so forward to all He has for me and what I can contribute to others in my walk with Him. I suppose some quiet seasons are for spending time with our Lord and learning, refining and absorbing all His love. Up I will look and cry “Abba Father” Thank you for your response. God Bless You!
