“Are You Ready to Die?”

Friday, May 19, 2017 posted by Diana Pulliam

I’d been praying for months, “Lord, if there be anything in me that doesn’t give you praise, that isn’t pleasing in your sight, take it from me.”

The first week in February, 2017, during a prayer meeting, we all knelt down and submitted ourselves to the Lord as a group. We told Him we were bringing all we were before His altar, and asked to be emptied of ourselves and filled with Him.

The Lord’s Response

That night, for the remainder of our prayer time, I heard the Lord say several times:

“I AM Holy!”

“Be ye therefore Holy, even as I AM Holy.”

“Nothing unclean can stand before Me.”

“You must be a living sacrifice.”

“Are you ready to DIE?”

When the Lord asked this, I said, “Yes, Lord, I’m yours. Do with me as it pleases you.” Although I meant every word, at the time I had no idea what I was asking, and what would have to take place in order to be emptied of myself and filled with Him.

By mid-March, trials from multiple directions began to hit my life like nothing I’d ever experienced. Everything I held dear was attacked: my marriage, finances, family, friends, and even my health.

On April 27th, in the midst of all this, I was on my way to a friend’s house. It was pouring rain and the hour drive was taking twice as long. So I began praising the Lord and praying in the spirit. Suddenly, the full impact of the calamities swirling around me hit full force. Intense pain and sorrow welled up within my spirit and I began to groan in agony. The gut wrenching pain reached a level I couldn’t contain, and the groans turned to screams, which seemed to come from every fiber of my being.

So here I was, driving down the road, tears flowing, groaning and screaming in the spirit, heart completely crushed and broken, crying out to the Lord, when I heard Him say loudly:

“Dying is Not Easy!”

As these words penetrated through all the pain, suddenly everything converged in my spirit. I saw myself bowed before Him as I’d been doing for months, begging to be transformed into His image and likeness.

Then a vision of Jesus on the cross flashed in front of me, as I heard the Lord say,

“You must be crucified in Christ!”

Then I remembered what He’d said to me at the prayer meeting,

“I AM Holy!”

“Be ye therefore Holy, even as I AM Holy.”

“Nothing unclean can stand before Me.”

“You must be a living sacrifice.”

“Are you ready to DIE?”

When He’d asked if I was ready to die, I’d answered, “Yes!” Instantly, I realized The Lord was answering my prayers! Everything in me not of the Lord was being stripped away. I was being crucified in Christ!

Friends, I’ve been mostly quiet through this painful process, but last week the Lord spoke the following to me and made it clear it was to be shared:

“My people are not asking Me to finish the work I’ve begun in them. This final work may only be done with their permission.”

The Lord then led me to a section of the book The Pursuit of God by Dr. A.W. Tozer, which perfectly describes this process:

“Self is the opaque veil that hides the face of God from us. It can be removed only in spiritual experience, never by mere instruction… There must be a work of God in destruction before we are free. We must invite the cross to do its deadly work within us… The cross is rough and it is deadly, but it is effective. It does not keep its victim hanging there forever. There comes a moment when its work is finished and the suffering victim dies. After that is resurrection glory and power, and the pain is forgotten for the joy that the veil is taken away and we have entered in actual spiritual experience the presence of the living God.” pp. 46&47.

If the Body of Christ is to be transformed into His image and likeness, we must die to self. Jesus told us, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.” Matthew 16:24. Jesus meant what He said!

Brethren, the Lord is asking our permission to finish the work he’s begun in us. His question to us is, “Are you ready to die?” He wants us to know in advance, “Dying is NOT easy!” And as the work of the cross is carried out, our total focus must be on Him – we absolutely MUST TRUST HIM in this.  It’s been made very clear to me, without going through this crucifixion process, you’ll  be useless to Him in the days ahead.

Remember, the cross doesn’t keep its victim hanging there forever. The moment will come when its work is finished and the victim dies. After that is resurrection glory and power!

Please pray and take what’s been shared before the Lord for further interpretation. I believe the painful trials many of the Saints are going through right now are because our prayers are being answered. The Church is being transformed!

Scripture References:

1 Peter 1:16, Leviticus 11:44, “Be ye therefore Holy, even as I AM Holy.”

Galations 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me…”

Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God…”

2 Cor. 3:18 says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Matt. 16:24, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.”

Hebrews 12:1-2, “…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross…”

    Thank you,

  3. Sue Says:

Wow! First I want to say I’m sorry you had been going thru some heavy trials. Many years ago the Lord showed me some pretty similar things of what layed ahead in dreams I have had and here we are now, and He would speak about Foundations, like “Does not a weak foundation collapse” and “I give and I take it away” Confirmations etc .Now that being said, my biggest struggle has been that I’m a smoker, or nicotine gum, then quit for 6 months then started up again now back to gum..I have the conviction of knowing better. I also deal with times of pain due to car accidents, I praise God by the way for I did walk around with a broken neck for two months no one picked up on. I of course Praise God for so many things in my life where He has covered me with protection though painful at times but nothing compared to His death. I have been praying for healing and have grown up so much in His word of Truth, its been setting in that if He says it it has to be true but have to admit I didn’t give that a thought, Please Finish the work as the Lord is calling us to pray. Had attacks on my brain physically too so, really praying He heals that for what can I do without that. Very frustrating, I have to fight the worthless attacks away but rebuking all that even as I speak here in Jesus, I know thats not from Him. I thank you so much for all of your words from the Lord. I have felt alone in my walk with the Lord as no one I know understands it or things I see for I don’t express well and they are lukewarm people, for whom I pray for. God Bless you and I will be praying because I want to be all I can be for the Lord and with the Lord, empathy I feel for such things going on with people, children animals is very hard too, another time about that. Thank you again sister in Christ and God Bless you. You are very special and I’m glad I was lead to your site

  4. dpulliam Says:

Yes, many in the Body of Christ are presently dealing with very severe trials. I will keep you and your family in prayer.
    Blessings to you!

  5. Bette Stevens Says:

That is a deep word……But that is where the rubber meets the road…….and many
people will not be ready because they dont
want to hear anything negative,,,,aka, itching ears……
The bride is not ready to receive Christ

  6. dpulliam Says:

With sorrow I have to agree with you, the bride is not yet ready. The thought of allowing Him to finish the work He’s begun in them scares most “christians.”
Blessings to you and your ministry, dear sister!

  7. debi walker Says:

Yes indeed awesome and powerful, sadly there will be many Christians who think they are ready for these end times but will certainly not endure to the end. God Bless you for your faithfulness and dedication.

  8. dpulliam Says:

Sadly, you are correct. Because of the candy coated messages being preached in most of the churches today, many of the “christians” will be offended when the calamities begin. They’ve been told they will already be raptured before anything bad happens. Our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world could definitely teach our western churches a thing or two about hardship.
    God bless!

  9. William Says:

It’s really very hard, because true Christian followers will not be happy in this worldly life, because this world is currently ruled by Satan. Every day, every minute, every second, struggling, hurdles are there, but his grace and his might hand leads us. God gives more strength. For the rest of your life, may God utilize you powerfully, Diana. This is my humble request. Please remember her in your prayer my beloved friends.

  10. dpulliam Says:

This is so very true. Our walk is not to be made comfortable in this world. I appreciate your prayers!
    God bless you!

  11. Aline Says:

    Dear Diana,
I have read your last 2 articles and video and agree with them completely. Yah is certainly using you to awaken the believers! I am in a community that needs some help. But I really can’t discuss that publicly. I also need help.
I know you must be very busy; kindly pray and see if it would be OK for me to contact you privately. I trust Yah’s answer to you. Thank you for your holy boldness for Him! Keep up the good work!
    Blessings and prayers, Aline

  13. Frances Says:

Dear sister Diana, I am so thankful for you and your walk with our Lord. Your posts minister to my spirit so deeply, it goes deep within my being. I know what you are saying is absolutely from God almighty trying to wake us up!!! Oh God finish the work you’ve started in your children. God bless you dear sister. Blessings to you, frances

  14. dpulliam Says:

God bless you! I think you so much for your encouragement. It means a lot to me.
Blessi gs to you, my Sister!

  15. Robert Says:

I have been praying the same thing. I want to be used mightily and want noting in me that would hinder that. He has delivered me from some big stuff over the years and what’s left are things within my personality that I don’t know how to begin to overcome other than to ask Him to do what only He knows what to do. Things like patience, particularly with my wife.

My walk with h Him has been pretty easy lately – feeling like I’m walking in victory. Then over the past few weeks it’s like the enemy has supercharged my flesh and it been really easy for others to push my buttons and for me to overreact. I have assumed this is a work of the enemy but my normal ways of warfare are not working as well and my wife is feeling the burden.

  16. dpulliam Says:

You mentioned that you asked Him to do what He has to do. He is answering your prayer. Continue asking Him to do whatever it takes to transform you into His likeness and image.

Then, no matter how painful the process, trust Him, praise Him, and continue doing the things he’s already told you to do.

You’re in my prayers, my friend!

  17. Jo Ann Says:

Diana, Thank you so much. This word has been a game changer for me. The Lord has been trying so hard to pull me up out of the dust, but he hasn’t had much luck. He has given me beautiful new clothing but still I hold on to my prison garb. I come from a family that’s riddled with abuse and I’ve worked in an abusive environment for nearly thirty years. I know how to be abused but I’ve found that I don’t know how to be the daughter of the king. The Lord has told me that I can’t move into my calling until I put this mindset behind me, because if I do I will fail. He doesn’t want me to fail and neither do I. This word allowed me to see that I have to let him do this work in me even though the unknown territory is scary. I’ve thought of very little else today other than this, and I know that it’s time. The trials lately have been relentless and I’m so tired but I can’t turn back. There’s no place to go. Thanks again.

  18. dpulliam Says:

    Hi Jo Ann,
Awesome! Yes, just totally let go. Open your hands and give Him EVERYTHING! Ask Him to do His quick work in you, and trust in the fact He’s full of Mercy and knows exactly what needs to be done. No matter the pain, just continue to trust Him, to Praise Him, and give Him the glory!

  19. Olga Says:

    Many thanks Diana.

This is, like Bette said it, where the rubber meets the road. Could you kindly contact me via email? I would like to know if you could help me with a question I have. Thank you.

  20. dpulliam Says:

I’ve sent you an email to contact me directly!
    God bless!

  21. Henrico Cordier Says:

Good morning, i am from South Africa and follow most of the entries in Z3 news. Can i request prayer please as me and my wife is going through financial difficulties for the past 2 ,1/2 years now. The second request is i want to know what is the will of GOD in our lives, and if maybe the financial difficulties are something to draw my attention to something else HE wants for our lives. Thank you and GOD bless

  22. dpulliam Says:

I am in prayer right now for your family and the financial difficulties. Father, I lift Henrico and his wife up before your throne. Your word says, if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally. Lord, fill Henrico with Godly wisdom to make the decisions ahead for him and his family. Lord, we thank you that Henrico has the mind of Christ, and he is your sheep and hears your voice. In the Name of Jesus, we bind the hand of the enemy and all his schemes against this family. We thank you, Lord, that you provide all our needs according to your riches in Glory through Christ. Amen!

Keep in touch, Brother. God bless you!

Diana, I saw a teaching on this by john paul jackson titled the 3 dark nights. Very informative. I highly recommend it. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord. Bless you.

  26. Victoria Vatland Says:

Hello Diana, Words from our KING bring love, through this complete surrender on His sacrificial altar and His cup we become more aware of the lost He seeks to harvest into His Kingdom.Your journey, though I do not know details, pains me greatly, as you well know never as much as our Father hurts for His children’s hurt. My wilderness began in 1999 when my Mommy returned to her KING, there is little left of me, more room for Him!! I remember reading somewhere the problem with living sacrifices,,, they/we want to crawl off the altar when the fire gets too hot! He clearly has BIG plans for you, His sweet daughter Diana! IMHO… the greater the fire in your natural overcoming life the greater His plans/destiny for you fulfilling ALL that is written of you in His Heavenly Book(s) ALL for His GLORY!! Have read your many posts, He LOVES you SO! Thank you Diana for sharing His true and not always easy to deliver. Shalom my princess friend… v

  27. dpulliam Says:

Yes, just as John the Baptist said, “He must increase, and I must decrease.” No matter how hot the refining fire gets, we need to remember what Paul said, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross…” Hebrews 12:2.
    God bless!

  28. Frank Dollbaum Says:

This is a confirming word for much of what the Lord has been doing in my life this year. Earlier this year was very trying but I daily ask for chastening, refining, perfecting so that I will reflect His image and His glory so that I can glorify Him with my life. I will keep a long story short and let the scripture do the talking. It is true that the chastening and refining is very painful and uncomfortable now, but the intimacy with the Lord and peace I have received from it would be worth it again and again just to walk a little closer and deeper with our God. I began reading Hebrews at the tail end of my trials and chapter 12 really blew me away. What an awesome God we serve! God bless!

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

    Also 1 John 2:6, 1 John 3:7, Matthew 5:48

  29. dpulliam Says:

Thank you so much for your comment! I can see you are living this, and have summed the process up beautifully. I too am daily asking for His chastening, refining, and perfecting so my life will give Him praise and honor.
    God bless you, Frank!

  30. Pete Says:

God bless you, sister. I thank yo so much for sharing your testimony!! Your testimony was powerful and I know the Holy Spirit is using you to speak to our brothers and sisters. I’ve been praying that Jesus would give me a pure heart and clean hands. I just watched your video with Lyn Leahz and then,I went to your web site. I can express how grateful that I am that God is using you to speak to us. God always confirms his word!!! As I said earlier,I asked Jesus to give me a pure heart and clean hands. Then,he confirmed his word through you. God bless you, sister and I will lift you up in prayer. Thank you for your timely message.

  31. dpulliam Says:

Wow! I’m so moved to hear how you were blessed by this word. And yes, God always confirms His Word. It never ceases to amaze me how when God is telling you something, speaking to your spirit, you will begin to hear if from all directions. God bless you, Pete, and thank you for your encouraging comment!

  32. Michael Molife Says:

I have following your ministry starting with Z3news and I have to say that you are a blessing to all of us. This particular post has really spoken to me. I have praying for the same, that God cleanses me of all that may be hindering my spiritual growth and annointing. Just a few months ago up to last week I started getting financial and physical attacks, one after another. And your word confirms what I have been going through. “Dying is not easy”. The cross does not compromise, there are no negotiations on the cross. Thats whats so hard for us humans who call themselves “christians” to comprehend. Thank you for allowing yourself to be used by our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Please pray for us here in Zimbabwe. The bride is still passed out asleep.

  33. dpulliam Says:

Praise God! Your kind words have blessed me. You are so right – the cross does not compromise, there are no negotiations on the cross! Blessings brother, you and the church in Zimbabwe are in my prayers!
